In the context of global climate change, groundwater is not only a vital source for human survival, but also a strategic resource for the sustainable development of local and global economies. The protection and effective management of these resources must be top priorities for everyone involved in environmental planning and management. The purpose of this work is to monitor the quality of groundwater from two water drillings located in the south of Timisoara and four water drillings in the west of the locality. The samples were taken in the year 2023 and were subjected to several analyzes (pH, nitrites, nitrates, phosphates, chlorides, sulfates, bicarbonates, calcium, magnesium, total hardness, sodium, potassium, dissolved iron and dissolved manganese, temperature) in order to obtain a detailed assessment of the water quality. The influence of agricultural activities was noted by a higher concentration of nitrates in the south of Timisoara, and in the western area the concentrations of nitrites are higher, which may indicate a more pronounced biological or industrial pollution. The proposed solutions focus on an integrated and sustainable approach to agriculture and the economy in general, to ensure that these water resources will remain available and clean for future generations.
