Supporting the agricultural sector, a factor of strategic importance for ensuring food security, raw materials for the food industry and for maintaining jobs, in the sense that it must benefit from public policy from the state aimed at compensating for losses generated by the increase in prices and other costs such as labour, veterinary services, agricultural utilities, etc. European, counting over 620 000 beekeepers in the EU. The importance of this sector is much greater than could be deduced from its contribution to the gross value of production in the economy, given that 84% of plant species and 76% of food production in Europe depend on pollination carried out by bees, thus the economic value produced, estimated at EUR 14.2 billion per year in the EU, much more products. [13]. Agricultural and environmental policies have a significant impact on beekeeping, as beekeepers depend on a healthy environment and financial support measures to sustain their activity. It is important that policy supports both commercial beekeeping and organic practices to ensure the long-term viability of this sector. Government policies and environmental organizations can support education and public awareness of the importance of bees to ecosystems and agriculture.
