The aim of the work is to evaluate the advantages of the application of renewable energy sources in an office buildings in the Czech Republic. Given the demands on the application of renewable energy sources and the issue of lack of free spaces in cities, this work will address the evaluation of the advantages and applications of solar energy and geotermal energy as the resources with easy applicability in the construction of new office buildings. Data for comparison are obtained from national statistics and already implemented projects, where were used equipment and technology that extracts energy from renewable sources. Compared deals with evaluating an acquisition, operating and maintenance costs for selected types of heating in the administration building model. Model of an administrative building is constructed on the basis of data obtained from the statistics and analyzes energy consumption in an office buildings.
Heating technology, including renewable energy derived from the sun and earth are compared with technologies using the most common sources of energy used for heating, which are gas and electricity. The conclusion is based on a comparison of results of individual resources for heating of administrative buildings on the basis of the data obtained. The overall assessment takes into account the costs associated with the acquisition, maintenance and operation technologies available in the Czech Republic.
