Nowadays new technologies influence higher education very much. They affect students? worldview and encourage the quality of the education to grow. Recently one of the educational characteristics is online resources application during the study. It makes access to knowledge much easier. This theme is very actual regarding to the digitalization of the economy. In this paper the models of online courses application in higher education are explored. They are influenced with the requirements of educational organizations. The ongoing problems and perspectives of mass education are analyzed. The most rational application of online courses in the higher education is researched in order to achieve the highest quality of learning. The comparative analysis of the learning methods based on the usage of the LMS and MOOC systems is described. There are a lot of popular LMS and MOOC systems. The theoretical model classification of the online courses implementation is researched in the paper. It should also be mentioned that there are systems which are used all over the world, some systems are used only in one or a few countries, some of them are implemented only inside of one university.
