Investigated were edaphic conditions of post-technogenic landscapes of the Yavoriv sulfur quarry (YSQ). Mycological characteristics of the devastated lands have been identified. The peculiarities of natural regeneration of the vegetation cover on the devastated lands of YSQ (the species, coenotic and ecological structures, directions of transformation of self-regenerating phytocoenoses) have been revealed. Analyzed are peculiarities of sulfur transformation by microscopic fungi. Investigated was the role of mycorrhizal agent (created on the basis of isolated soil micromycetes and which are indicators of sulfur pollution) in the process of sylvatization on the devastated lands. The methods of biological reclamation have been developed to restore fertility of edaphic conditions and vegetation cover in post-technogenic landscapes. The research is organized using permanent study areas and temporary experimental sites. For conducting mycological analysis of post-technogenic landscapes, eight permanent study areas were established in the territory of the quarry. In deciding on symbiotic mycorrhizal fungi, which were used for the preparation of the agent for artificial mycorrhization of the plants, the literature data on toxicity, allergic reactions, intensity of sporulation were taken into account.
