The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of additional dietary chromium in various forms on the exchange of elements in rats. Ultradisperse chromium particles at a dose of 300 ?g/kg of feed contributed to significant changes relative to the control, including a 2.38 fold increase in calcium, a 15.00 fold increase in phosphorus and a 3.60 fold decrease in chromium. Relative to the control group, the introduction of 300 ?g/kg chromium chloride into the diet led to an 9.04 fold increase in P, 7.77 times more B and 2.00 times less Cr, and 1.57 times less iron, relative to the control. Inclusion of chromium picolinate in the diet of experimental animals at a dose of 300 ?g/kg of feed led to a significant increase in both macro- and microelements. Among the essential elements, there was 3.00 times more B, 4.2 time more cobalt, 5.55 times more lithium, a 40.2% increase in manganese, 11.1 times more nickel, 2.24 times more silicon and a 44.5% increase in zinc. An increase in the dosage of chromium nanoparticles, chromium chloride and chromium picolinate to 500 ?g/kg led to a significant increase in macronutrients, such as P in experimental groups 4, 5 and 6, which increased by 12.8 fold (p ? 0.01), 95.9% (p ? 0.001) and 14.7 fold (p ? 0.01), respectively, relative to the control group. Thus, the introduction of chromium has a multidirectional effect, which should be taken into account when assessing the mineral security of the diet.
