Vertical gardens are a new method for setting up inside or outside private or public buildings, providing a great aesthetic impact due to the impressive structure and the way it harmoniously combines architecture with nature, providing a balance between the two and, at the same time, modern. The purpose of this project is to embellish the facade of the BUASVMT building by introducing a novelty element that can offer a friendlier and more modern look to the edifice and a potential emblem of the university as plants make it the main objective of study. The main motivation of this work was the desire to make known the concept of vertical gardens in Romania and to implement this trend, which aims to bring buildings to life through vegetation. These constructions become all the more impressive as the benefits they offer will be revealed, so besides the aesthetic qualities, these constructions also have an ecological character. The concept of vertical gardens is new, both in the world, and especially in Romania. These have emerged as a response to some of the daily problems faced by man in many urban areas of the world, i.e. the need for green areas. In addition to the impressive visual effect, these gardens are the solution for urban areas that do not allow the existence of corners of nature, which is one of the biggest problems in intensive cities. It is known that, in these areas, people encounter a multitude of problems in terms of physical and mental health and well-being, an essential factor of which is the lack of vegetation and space. Through green walls, these problems can be diminished, the too much polluted air in urban areas could be much cleaner, carbon dioxide and various pollutants would be absorbed by plants, resulting in a healthy and favorable environment for humans. In addition, vertical gardens also offer good sound and thermal insulation and an ideal mental state, reinforcing the idea that plants are not just a beautiful setting but also an endless source of life and well-being, and maybe one day people will do these things, they will be grateful for all the benefits of nature and will try to bring it as close as possible to the vertical gardens, creating, why not, green cities [3].
