The dynamics of the development of modern society dictates new requirements for the creation of a sustainable workspace or eco-friendly office. The functional state of the human body is an indicator of environmental friendliness of the working space. Therefore, a Green office is not only the creation of a comfortable, ecological space, ergonomic workplace, but also taking into account the whole complex of factors that can negatively affect the functional state of the organism. In modern society, a person has to live in conditions of rapid socio-economic and technological changes, accelerated pace of life, high information loads and time limit. Undoubtedly, the lack of time affects many parameters of human activity, including professional success. An acute lack of time is a strong stress agent and can significantly reduce the functional performance, attention, quality of work and disrupt the stability and comfort of the working space. There are many physiological markers of stress reaction development in the human organism. Informative markers are the parameters of eye movements. Oculomotor movements reflects brain activity and performs various functions (searching for information, scanning it and also formation and recognition of the visual image) and in conditions of time deficit, it is likely to change. The study involved 50 people aged 20.5±1.5 years. The parameters of eye movements were recorded in the conditions of performing visual cognitive tasks at an arbitrary pace and in the conditions of the time limit, at the same time, we fixed the quality of the tasks. We took into account the functional state of the Central nervous system, the level of performance, efficiency of activity on the basis of a simple visual-motor reaction. The experiment was conducted in accordance with ethical standards. The study findings show that the time limit affects the parameters of visual cognitive activity in study participants, increasing its efficiency. This result is accompanied by changes in the eye tracking: oculomotor activity has decreased (the number of saccades and fixations per unit time has reduced), the fixation time required for information processing has significantly increased. Such changes indicate the narrowing of the visual working area on the monitor screen and the strengthening of the analytical component of the perceived information. However, the work of the visual system in an unusual rhythm leads to rapid fatigue and a decrease in the stability of the functional system which implements this cognitive activity. This proves the short-term nature of high performance and will undoubtedly affect the quality of visual perception and mental activity.
