A CubeSat is a type of miniaturized satellite for space research. A CubeSat can consist of one or more 10 cm ? 10 cm ? 10 cm cubic unit. A mass of any per unit is not exceed more 1.33 kilograms. Satellite operating conditions are quite extreme. And one of the most important problem which should be resolved for any CubeSat on the design stage is the thermal stabilization for any of its component. Thermal effects can have a significant impact on the operating characteristic of the nanosatellite and its components, including electronic ones. And, therefore, affect the data obtained from nanosatellites. But the analytical study of temperature fields in a CubeSat and it?s components is not possible due the complexity of its design and a wide variety of factors impact on the temperature fields. Moreover, in the general case the temperature fields in nanosatellites and their components are three-dimensional non-uniform and non-stationary.
The paper demonstrates the possibility of applying the modified heat balance method to the study of non-stationary inhomogeneous thermal fields in nanosatellites and their components. Proposals for the use of passive methods of stabilizing thermal fields in the satellite components were developed.
