The results of long-term investigations of the 137Cs, 90Sr, and 241Am horizontal distribution in the upper soil layer in various ecosystems on the territory of the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl NPP are presented in the article. The research was carried out in 2011-2017 in the Belarusian sector of the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl NPP on the experimental sites near the research station "Masany" of the Polesye State Radiation Ecological Reserve (about 10 km from the epicenter of the accident). The horizontal distribution of 137Cs, 90Sr, and 241Am in the soil of ecosystems with different forest-growing conditions were studied. The types of ecosystems are hydromorphic mixed deciduous forest with a predominance of birch, a former farmland with an automorphic kind of soil and a pine forest with a low groundwater level. A decrease in the values of the coefficient of variation (V) with the time elapsed since the accident had revealed. The highest value of the coefficient of variation (75.2 %) was obtained for 90Sr in the soil in the pine forest. The effect of some factors on the horizontal redistribution of radionuclides is shown.
