The article provides a comparative analysis of routing protocols in the context of use in wireless sensor networks with a MANET structure using for communication interaction of distributed facilities and engineering systems of buildings (such as automated dispatch control systems of distributed energy consumption objects, heating systems, cooling systems, building sensors and energy resources meters, etc.). As the most promising for further development, the protocols AODV, DSR, DSDV, OLSR with a description of the features of their work are considered. As an analysis tool, the NS2 simulation environment was used, for which an example of the program code for the simulation file was given. The analysis was carried out for networks that have both static and mobile nodes in their structure. Based on the studies, it was concluded that the success of solving the problem of choosing a protocol directly depends on determining the parameters of the network in which it will be used, taking into account all possible directions of its development, since, guided by an example with the DSR protocol, the introduction of several mobile nodes can greatly worsen or generally stop the network.
