The development of innovative ways of realizing build-construction is progressing. The construction industry affects the quality of the environment. On the present, many researches are about out on the quality of the construction process, individual materials, components and their impact on the environment. The construction sector is increasing the use of so-called green components, which are characterized by environmentally friendly properties. Green components also are green walls and water walls. Green walls are vertically arranged plants and other greenery that can be free-standing or attached to the walls. The water walls are an innovative vertical element. The water wall is an interior-intended water decoration, made of acrylic glass (plexi), filled with distilled water. The aim of the article is to compare the way of making and realization of selected types of innovative walls - green walls and water walls from the technological, economic and environmental point of view based on theoretical analysis and synthesis of acquired knowledge.
