with increasing frequency, the study of the variation of the terrestrial geomagnetic field is a current topic for geoscience specialists. The article presents the results obtained for the variation of the geomagnetic field for a period of 5 years on the European territory using data obtained from the national ground-based geomagnetic observatories integrated in the International Real-time Magnetic Observatory Network (INTERMAGNET) and data provided by the international Enhanced Magnetic Model (EMM), a model that includes crustal variations in the geomagnetic field, based on satellite, marine, aeromagnetic and ground recordings. Based on the results provided by the geomagnetic observatoires, the values obtained for the geomagnetic elements were reduced to the middle of the year (geomagnetic epoch year.5). In the case study, we present the recent variations of the geomagnetic field on the European territory and a analisys on the differences between the two datasets to observe at what level of accuracy the data in the EMM Model concur with the results obtained in the geomagnetic observers integrated in the INTERMAGNET network
