Information modeling of structures with ?Building Information Modelling? name and abbreviation ? BIM technology, which originally appeared in construction industry, is currently spreading to other areas, where documentation of objects requires their information support. An example is the historic buildings of European countries, which were built in the distant past and today do not meet modern standards, but require maintenance, restoration, operation. This led to the creation of the historical or Heritage BIM (HBIM).
Using this approach for underground and opencast mining allows the mountain space from the standpoint of its stability, organize control over its condition during operation, serve as the initial data when calculating the stability of actual workings with structural characteristics close to real bodies. Various dimensions of both 3D and 4D can be applied to such information model like BIM. General approaches for using information modeling (IM) procedures for geological objects of mining space (underground, open) are still quite vague. In this paper, we propose solutions for describing typical primitives that can be used as the basis for parametric geological models of underground space. It is based on the use of geological primitives based on a crack of nonzero width, which can be the basis for modeling most of the structural elements of a geological body on the ground of deterministic approach. The basic primitives are designed for the conditions of the FreeCAD v.0.18 program, however, they can be exported using IFC classes to work in other BIM programs (ArchiCAD, Civil 3D, Revit 3D, etc.) Stochastic models of larger geological structures around these mine workings can be received already based on real models obtained in situ. For non-reinforced mine workings in mines, underground structures, underground museums, underground laboratories, where maintenance and long-term maintenance of workings becomes important, as well as for open workings in hard rocks, information modeling technology can play the same role that it plays today in construction industry. IM technology of mining space can be important for certification of underground and open pit structures, both currently under construction and in use, as well as old mine workings, which today keep interest as museum objects. This technology looks very promising for underground structures of various sizes, used for a long time. |
