The pulse gas preparation unit is an important part of the compressor station. The
quality of the pulsed gas sent to the needs of the entire workshop depends on the degree
of its purification from acidic impurities, such as CO2 and H2S. This process takes
place in an absorption column.
The use of industrial control systems at such enterprises makes it possible to control
processes remotely. At the same time, both technical and economic costs of production
become less.
The impulse gas preparation unit must ensure uninterrupted supply of natural gas for
technological needs, therefore, in terms of CO2 and H2S content, it must meet the
following requirements: CO2 content not more than 2% and hydrogen sulfide content
not more than 0.0004 mol. % Automated system should function without the constant
presence of maintenance personnel.
The pulsed gas preparation unit (PGPU) must provide a constant supply of pulsed gas
for the operation of the compressor shop with the highest possible cleaning of unwanted
impurities. In accordance with the requirements of PGPU, it must be equipped with
facilities ensuring the highest possible environmental safety.
The article discusses the technological process of natural gas purification from
impurities, proposes a spatially distributed control system for a pulsed gas preparation
plant, and describes a synthesis technique for a distributed high-precision controller
consisting of amplifying differentiating and integrating units. The model was built in
Aspen's HYSYS 9.0 program.
