The pollen record from a 96 cm long sediment core obtained in Lake Arcto-Pimberto (68°26.114' N, 053°32.311' E, Pechora river delta, Nenets Autonomous Okrug) reflect regional vegetation and climate changes in the north of the Eastern European plain over the last 6000 year. The taxonomic and stratigraphic structure of the column of bottom sediments is reflected in a spore-pollen diagram which was divided on the 4 biostratigraphic sequences - pollen zones (PZ I-IV). The results show that the bottom of the core (PZ I) was deposited in wetter conditions. At the time moss (Sphagnum) and low-growing shrubs (Betula spp., Salix, Alnaster) with the presence of heather (Ericaceae) communities dominated in the catchment area. The climate at this time was humid. The middle layers of the core (PZ II-PZ III) show a decrease in moisture content of the territory. There was the aridity of the climate. Compared with the previous pollen zone, the total content of pollen of herbaceous taxa (Ericaceae, Artemisia, Rubus chamaemorus, Amaranthaceae, Brassicaceae and others) increased in pollen zone II and III. The last pollen zone (PZ IV) is characterized by an increase in moisture content of the territory. A re-development of moss and low-growing shrubs with the presence of heather communities was observed in the catchment area of Lake Arcto-Pimberto. This work was funded by the subsidy allocated to Kazan Federal University for the state assignment in the sphere of scientific activities and by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (project no. 18-05-00406). The part of this work concerning a creation of the pollen and nonpollen palynomorphs databases of Arctic territories was supported by grant from Russian Scientific Foundation (project no. 20-17-00135).
