The constant need for techniques that contribute to the environmental preservation has led researchers worldwide to intensify their studies regarding different routes that enable the environmental protection. Azo - dyes can be found in aquatic matrices and conventional procedures applied in effluent treatment plants showed not so good results in respect to degrading this type of dyes that are usually persistent and refractory. Also, textile dyes release important amounts of toxic and resistant color effluents that causes eutrophication. Metallic nanoparticles can be synthesized using conventional methods, by either a ?top down? or a ?bottom up? approach but they are usually expensive, time requiring and use toxic chemicals. The feasible alternative is the environmentally ? friendly route that use plants and their aqueous plant extracts. Ramson (Allium ursinum) contains adenosine that can contribute in regulating high blood pressure and tachycardia, used as tonic to cleanse blood and helps boost the immune system. This research paper presents the degradation of three azo-dyes (Direct Brown 2, Direct Orange 26 and Direct Black 38) using green synthesized silver nanoparticles from Ramson (Allium ursinum) aqueous extract. Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were prepared using two different methods: at room temperature, in the dark, for 24 hours and at 500C under a constant stirring of 600 rpm for 30 minutes. UV-Vis spectroscopy at specific wavelengths for each dye was the technique used to study the degradation of the three azoic dyes. Also, this paper studies the kinetics of the green synthesized silver nanoparticles from Allium ursinum at well ? established time intervals.
