THE CONCENTRATION OF MACRO AND MICRO ELEMENTS IN OPEN AND CLOSED GROUND SOILS IN THE TERRITORIES OF ADJARA REGION

Producing non-seasonal vegetables in Georgia is actually impossible without greenhouses and specially-designed constructions. Greenhouse enables us to be less depended on environmental conditions, as well as to accumulate sun power and to artificially regulate all necessary factors for growth and development of various plants, to protect plants from unfavorable and adverse nature affects such as hail, wind, draught and freezing. In open ground soils the producing process of vegetable crops terminates as soon as unfavorable environmental conditions occur and therefore, the deficit of raw vegetables is present in the market and for this reason, products are produced in greenhouses for filling that gap on the market. The product quality parameters are also very significant which mostly depend on soil composition. To this end, the present work reviews the concentration of macro and micro elements of open and closed ground soils in Adjara region. In our work 28 chemical elements were defined via atomic emissive spectrometer apparatus, according to our research it was identified that the concentration of calcium, potassium and magnesium is high in open ground soils. Besides, the concentrations of phosphorus and sodium is high in those soils. The reviewed soils do not include such chemical elements as Beryllium, Cobalt, Chrome, Copper, Molybdenum, Stibium, and Vanadium; as for Selenium, Silicium and Tellurium they are found only in the form of trace. The concentration of the rest micro elements such as: barium, boron, lithium, manganese, nickel and zinc slightly differ from others. Herewith, their concentration is not beyond maximum permissible concentration norm.
The closed ground soils are characterized with high concentration of macro elements such as calcium, potassium, magnesium and sodium. The greenhouse soils do not include Be, Co, Cr, Cu, Mo, Sb and V. As for Selenium and Vanadium they are found only in the form of trace. The rest other micro-elements such as: Boron, Barium, Manganese, Nickel, Titanium and Zinc are practically identical in both closed ground soils and they are in the limits of maximum permissible concentration (MPC). The open and closed ground soils do not include Cadmium and Plumbum. As for Arsenic, it is found only in the form of trace, the concentration of Mercury is not beyond MPC norm. |
