Many schools have long figured out that the internet can be a strong ally in the teaching of each subject. Those who are able to use its power offer online courses not only as a complement to mainstream studies, but as a full-fledged form of education for specific groups. Not only for full-time or part-time students, but also, for example, for people who are unable to relax at regular times or who prefer self-study at time, of their own choice. For this group, the school has undeniable advantages over the Internet. The current global situation is a prerequisite that in a few years almost all courses can be online. This improves the quality of online learning alarming rate and e-learning is in serious competition with formal academic institutions. This is still the case at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic "drove" students and teachers from school institutions and, thanks to e-learning and many other online forms of education, the full-time form of teaching has been replaced not only in Slovakia but in almost all countries of the world.
The paper deals with the methodology of preparation and application of online courses. Due to the numerous representation of foreign students at the faculty, there was a need to prepare study material for teaching Slovak as a foreign language. At the Department of Natural Sciences and Humanities under the auspices of KEGA projects, they have been involved in combined teaching for several years. In site form of teaching enrich online lessons that students like very much. Therefore, the new Slovak language course for foreign students also contains topics that are important for students not only for practicing Slovak, but also for acquiring language skills from vocational subjects.
