Oil is produced in the form of an oil emulsion due to the high depletion of deposits and significant water cut in wells. The formation of emulsions can lead to a number of complications in the operation of various field equipment, and sometimes even to emergency shutdowns or failures. Therefore, the study of the properties of demulsifiers and their effectiveness is an important task. The work investigates the surface-active properties of seven industrial demulsifiers produced in Russia, such as: interfacial and surface tension, surface activity, contact angle of wetting for a hydrophilic and hydrophobic surface. The effectiveness of demulsifiers for the destruction of stable oil-water emulsions is estimated and compared with their surface-active properties. The surface tension of the reagents changes from 55 to 30 mN / m when the concentration of demulsifiers changes from 0.01 to 0.5%. The greatest surface activity is shown by demulsifiers "Flack - D -012 M" and "DIN" grade 4E, which lies in the range of 20-25 * 10 ^ 3 mN * m ^ 2 / kg. The dehydration degree of the reference oil emulsion at a demulsifier concentration of 50 g / t is in the range of 67 to 98%. The maximum value of the degree of dehydration equal to 98% is achieved when using demulsifier DIN grade 4E. It is shown in the work that the surface activity of the used reagents correlates with their demulsifying efficiency in the destruction of oil emulsions.
