The article deals with the issues of virtual reconstruction of memorable places associated with the life of M.V. Aseev in the Tambov province (Russia). Mikhail Vasilyevich Aseev (1858-1933) was a major Russian landowner, entrepreneur, influential industrialist and philanthropist. In 3D modeling programs (SketchUp, Blender) three-dimensional models of objects (buildings, utensils, etc.) were built according to known parameters (size, material), including both existing objects and lost or partially destroyed ones. Using landscape design programs (L3DT, Terragen), a 3D model of the landscape was designed based on available topographic information (maps, plans, diagrams, images from space). Based on created 3D models of objects and landscape the final virtual space was formed in the software system for creating three-dimensional virtual worlds Twinmotion. When developing a virtual tour, the authors used 3D Vista Virtual Tour program. Spherical cameras Insta 360 pro and Insta One X were used for making photos and videos. High-definition photographs taken with a DJI Mavic Pro 2 quadcopter were used to create images. The implementation of the museum of memorable places will allow obtaining new historical information, increasing reliability of knowledge about historical objects, and providing their state-of-the-art virtual reconstruction.
