Precision management of the crop production, implemented in the precision farming system, implies a spatially differentiated, based on spectral measurements, implementation of agrotechnical measures provided for by the technology of their cultivation. The study of the spectral characteristics of spring wheat crops under changing agricultural conditions was carried out in a multi-factor micro field experiment at the Menkovskaya experimental station of the Agrophysical Research Institute (Russia, Leningrad Region). The scheme of the experiment included the study of the effect of seeding rates (6 and 5 million seeds ha-1), the background of nitrogen fertilizers (0, 60 and 120 kg N ha?1) and herbicide applications (without treatment and with its implementation) on the yield of spring wheat (Triticum ?estivum L.). According to the observation program in the experiment, regular ground and remote measurements of the NDVI index were carried out, confined to certain phases of spring wheat development. Ground measurements were carried out using the GreenSeeker portable hand-held sensor, and remote measurements were made using the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) model Geoskan-401, which provides high accuracy shooting. The obtained experimental data will serve as the basis for improving the theoretical and practical foundations of using remote monitoring data to justify ways to improve the efficiency of managing the state of soil-plant systems and the production process of grain crops.
