Carbonaceous material (CM) from Outer Carpathians hydrothermal veins was investigated by Raman spectroscopy in order to reveal thermal conditions of its alteration. The studied CM as being found in association with пїЅmarmarosh diamondsпїЅ confirms that the crystallization environment of this mysterious quartz variety is connected with thermally-influenced organic matter.
