The purpose of this paper is to determine the rate of methane (explosive gas ) and of carbon dioxide (axphysants gas ) in the mine workings of Praid salt mine. Currently in Romania there are six salt mines which exploit the salt through underground mine workings: Praid salt mine, Tg. The decisive factor in the process of technical inspection of the gas bottles is determined by the correct choice of the method of carrying out the inspections in order to observe with the greatest attention the possible imperfections due to the wear, which have occurred after prolonged use.
