(STEF92 Technology, 2025-08-15, Arjol Lule, Diana Bardhi)

The tectonic setting of Albania, influenced by the collision with the Adria microplate, is divided into two structural domains: an external compressional zone and an internal extensional one. Two main fault systems characterize the region-the longitudinal system (NW-SE to NNW-SSE), consisting of thrust and reverse faults, and the transversal system (NE-SW), comprising strike-slip faults. The Lushnje-Elbasan transverse fault, oriented NNE, is associated with the Dumrea diapiric dome and the Elbasan Quaternary grabe...

GEOCHEMISTRY OF METABASIC DYKE-LIKE BODIES IN THE SREDOGRIV LOW-GRADE METAMORPHIC ROCKS, WESTERN BALKAN ZONE, NW BULGARIA

(STEF92 Technology, 2025-08-15, Nikolay Bonev, Petyo Filipov)

The Sredogriv low-grade metamorphic rocks belongs to the Montana unit of the Western Balkan Zone in northwestern Bulgaria. The low-grade rocks mainly consist of metamorphosed greenschist facies clastic-marly-tuffaceous precursors and minor basic to acidic, presumably olistostromic magmatic rock bodies. Here, we present whole-rock geochemistry of metabasic dyke-like bodies in the Sredogriv metamorphic rocks. Field observations revealed that the dyke-like bodies are intruded into the Sredogriv sedimentary succession...

HYDROCARBON- ORE FORMATION AND ITS ROLE IN THE FORMATION OF OIL AND ORE DEPOSITS: A CASE STUDY OF THE SYRDARYA SEDIMENTARY BASIN, KAZAKHSTAN

(STEF92 Technology, 2025-08-15, Askar Syzdykov, Shattyk Miniskul, Zamzagul Umarbekova, A. A. Antonenko, Gaukhar Karataeva)

The spatial and temporal relationship between petroleum and ore deposits has attracted the attention of scientists since the 1960s, when a connection was determined between oil-gas formation processes and ore-forming processes, which led to the formation of Pb-Zn Mississippi-type deposits, Carlin-type gold deposits, and stratiform copper deposits. These studies concluded that there is a paragenetic relationship between petroleum fluids and ore mineralization. To date, studies concerning the relationship between se...

RISK ANALYSIS BASED ON THE COST OF LIFE FOR PROJECTS AT THE LEVEL OF SURFACE LAYER MANAGEMENT

(STEF92 Technology, 2025-08-15, Diana Bardhi, Altin Seranaj)

Investing in ensuring the quality and safety of movement on highways is not a one-time process. Institutions charged with ensuring quality crossing surfaces must constantly monitor and repair the highway network so that it remains in the best possible condition. Because the funds available to maintain the highway network are limited, it is essential that decisions taken to maintain and rehabilitate the highway network are spent justifying each intervention. Layer management systems at the network and project level...

Hydrothermal processes, particularly hydrothermal eruptions, play a key role in forming epithermal gold-silver deposits. Such deposits, first described by White [1] and Lloyd [2], are found in both active and ancient hydrothermal systems [3]. These processes are linked to geothermal systems, volcanic activity, and fluid circulation, but their exact mechanisms and influence on metal concentration remain debated. This study examines the role of hydrothermal eruptions and key factors (temperature, boiling, chemical c...
