The Dobsina dam is a part of the water management system ?Dobsina? which consists of the Palcmanska Masa reservoir, the Vlca Dolina hydroelectric power plant, and the Dobsina afterbay reservoir. Palcmanska Masa and Vlcia dolina dams were built in the years 1956 -1958, Dobsina dam in 1960.
