BLINDNESS, ANALYSIS AND DIAGNOSTIC

(Stef92 Technology, 2011-06-20, Lachezar Lichev)

Main goal of our research is to find some way how to help colour blind people to distinct the entities with differe nt colours. So far it is impo ssible to develop some kind of device or computer algorithm to let the colour blind man see in the same way as healthy man. So, we try to transform pictures (both static pictures and dynamic pictures from computer camera) to let the person with diagnosed colour deficiency see there as many details as possible. Algorithm that we have researched deals with transformation o...

DEVELOPMENT OF METHODS FOR THE PROCESSING OF MEDICAL IMAGES USING GENETIC ALGORITHMS

(Stef92 Technology, 2011-06-20, Lachezar Lichev)

In this paper we deal with analysis and evaluation of objects of interest which are present in ultrasound images as well as assessment of the progress or regressions that occurred in these objects. These objects ar e highly significant from a medicinal perspective and include atherosclerostic pl aque in carotid arte ries, the intima-media thickness in the distal part of the common carotid artery, cerebral cortex size and brain stem findings in cases of Parkinson disease. Here, we describe procedures employing comb...

IMAGE PREPROCESSING AND ADJUSTMENTS FOR PHOTOGRAMMETRIC MEASUREMENT

(Stef92 Technology, 2011-06-20, Lachezar Lichev)

The FOTOM system developed at the Department of Computer Science FEECS VЕ B TU Ostrava is used for digital image processing. FOTOM 2008 was created in the programming language C++. In 2009, a new, revolutionary version of the system, FOTOM 2009, was designed. This new system has new kernel and provides a more universal and easily extensible architect ure with newly solved calibration and transformation images. Mine image transf ormations consist of conversion data from snapshots to the three - dimensional coordina...

NEUROCOGNITIVE REHABILITATION SYSTEM NELA

(Stef92 Technology, 2011-06-20, Lachezar Lichev)

The NELA system was created in coope ration with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of VЕ B-Technical University of Ostrava and the Neurocognitive Laboratory of the Univers ity Hospital Ostrava for the purpose of neurocognitive rehabilitation of patients who, owing to the system, can carry out practice tests comfortably from their homes and thus contribute to their quicker recovery. The fundamental bases of neuroc ognitive rehabilitation rely on the so-called brain plasticity, i.e. the abil...

SPEECH ANALYSIS AND SYNTHESIS FOR HANDICAPPED

(Stef92 Technology, 2011-06-20, Lachezar Lichev)

This bachelor thesis is focused on speech synthesis of Czech language in frequency domain. The resulting software solution consis ts of the analyzer and synthesizer of selected elementary speech units. Speech synthesis is based on the LPC model. The analyzer analyzes an input phoneme unit in WAV format, divides it into microsegmens of length 20 ms and keeps the LPC coefficients, flag (voiced / unvoiced) and the residual prediction error signal. These data are then stored in the XML file. Further, this thesis deals...
