ASSESSMENT OF PILLAR DIMENSIONS OF CANKIRI-TURKEY ROCK SALT MINE BY NUMERICAL ANALYSIS

(Stef92 Technology, 2011-06-20, Hakan Özşen)

Cankiri rock salt formation is one of the mo st important rock salt sources of Turkey. Rock salt production in this area is performed by underground room and pillar mining method approximately 150 m under existing t opography. However, pillar dimensions which are used in Cankiri rock salt mine ar e determined by trial and error method. Aim of this study is to create a model which will overlap long and short term rock mechanics analysis results with in-situ stresses and in-situ deformations. By the evaluation of th...

The subject of this project is to evaluate precipitation variability, trends and projections due to climate change in north-w estern Bulgaria as part of the changes in the early 21st century in that area. Studies in recent years show a decline of precipitation for the Balkans and Bulgaria in particular. The re duction in rainfall amounts is typical for the last 10 years of the 20th century and continues into the early 21st century. Examination models of the precipitation amount indicate a trend of increasing of th...

The municipal center of Aleksinac with its urban, commercial, industrial and cultural areas is situated close to the Moravica river estuary in to South Morava river. Due to position of the settlement and the natural river channel conditions, significant damages occurred in the past. Flood flows were endangering the inhabited part of Aleksinac, residential and public str...

COMPLEX APPROACH FOR TEXTURE AND MULTISPECTRAL SEGMENTATION OF HIGH RESOLUTION SATTELITE IMAGES

(Stef92 Technology, 2011-06-20, Veselina Gospodinova)

It is introduced a complex approach for texture and multispectral segmentation, based on texture analyses. The data fusion method is used for combining the multispectral and texture features of classes in the area s which is investigated. The texture features are estimated by the calculation of variance and skewness statistics over the windows with different sizes. The results ar e integrated with spectral chan nels of satellite images. The images from KOMPSAT-2 satellite are used for testing purposes. The spectra...

COMPLEX DERIVED FROM THE MEDIUM ANIONIC POLYELECTROLYTE AND MEDIUM CATIONIC SURFACTANT - NEW COAGULANTS USED IN WASTEWATER TREATMENT

(Stef92 Technology, 2011-06-20, Mihaela Mihai)

This paper aims at studying some complex coagulants derived from the medium anionic polymer and medium cationic surfactant in order to evaluate the opportunity to use them in destabilizing and removing th e colloidal systems from water and wastewater. In this respect, medium anionic copolymers of acrylamide and sodium acrylate with commercial Preastol 2540, and a medium cationic surfactant derived from triethanolamine with commercial name of Tetranyl AT-7590 were used in order to obtain these complex coagulants. T...

COMPLEX STUDY, CHEMICAL AND MINERALOGICAL, OF THE RED MUD DUMPS RESULTS IN ROMANIAN ALUMINA PLANTS

(Stef92 Technology, 2011-06-20, Mihai Ghita)

The hydrometallurgical process for obtaini ng alumina by Bayer process bauxite is getting significant amounts of red mud (0.8 - 2 t / t Al 2O3). It is deposited in dumps which can cause danger for environment mainly due to the alkali content ( pH = 8-13) and small dimensisons of particles (less than 60 microns). Chemical and mineralogical composition of red mud bauxite is closely related to type of the bauxite used as raw material and processing conditions determined by some peculiarities of applied technology (pr...

COMPOSITE COATINGS WITH NICKEL MATRIX AND SILICON BY CLEAN TECHNOLOGY

(Stef92 Technology, 2011-06-20, Lucica Balint)

On global scale the nickel coa tings obtaining is realised with electrolytes that have the toxically composition that working at the temperature range 40 - 800C. In this paper was proposed an ecological solution to obtaining the nickel layers and composite coatings with nickel matrix and silicon. The energy consume is reduced be cause the working is passed on ambient temperature. The addition of silicon particles into nickel plating bath leads to significantly changes for the surface morphology and for the roughne...

CONDITION OF FORMATION OF DWARFISH CU-AU-PORPHYRY DEPOSITS

(Stef92 Technology, 2011-06-20, Alexander Volkov)

Regularities in the distribution and forma tion mechanism of gi ant Cu-Au-porphyry deposits have been discussed by many authors. Most recent works are dedicated to the problem of their formation. The deposits of Macedonia discussed in this communication usually contain up to 150 000 t of copper with the Buchim deposits likely being the smallest in the world am ong similar recently mined deposits. The long- term economically profitable development of the latter refutes the traditional opinion that only Cu-Au-porphy...

CONNECTING AND ORIENTATION OF THE HORIZON OF MINING WORKINGS

(Stef92 Technology, 2011-06-20, Pavel Černota)

As per Regulation of the Czech Mining Of fice Board No. 435/1992 of Law Digest, as amended, there is a duty to survey any and all mine workings in the national reference system of S-JTSK type. The objective of both connecting and orientation surveys on the earth surface is to identify the end poi nt position for the plummet segment and especially to identify their bearing. Connec ting the horizon in the mine plays a role in transferring the coordinate values from the said plummet segment to the points ensuring the...
