THE INVESTIGATION OF RAZGAH NEPHELINE SYENITE AS A SUITABLE SOURCE ROCK FOR SEDIMENTARY URANIUM MINERALIZATION IN EAST AZERBAIJAN, IRAN

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2010, S. A. MAJIDI Seyyedbeygloo, M. Ahadi, M. Lotfi, M. R. Hezareh, A. Ziazarifi)

Several important characteristics such as suitable parent rocks, hydrodynamics system for carrying uranium complexes and pervious sedimentary layers play key role for transportation and deposition of soluble uranium. In this paper, we present the results of investigations of parent rocks and host rock of sedimentary uranium in Razgah region to examine intrusive of nepheline syenite in Razgah together with surrounding sedimentary units with regard of sedimentary uranium mineralization. Razgah nepheline syenite loca...

INTEGRATION AND ANALYSIS OF ASTER DATA, GEOPHYSICAL AND GEOLOGICAL DATA FOR EXPLORATION OF CU MINERALIZATION IN CHAHARGONBAD AREA, A GIS APPROACH

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2007, M. Ahadi, M. Farahani, A.HEZARKHANI)

The Chahargonbad area is located in southern part of the central Iranian volcano–sedimentary belt, in Kerman province. The intrusion of several intrusives bodies such as granodiorite, monzonite, diorite, granite and quartz diorite in the volcanic sedimentary sequence have given rise to an intense and vast alteration and copper mineralization in the southern part of this belt different image processing techniques such as color composites, image filtering, band ratioing and principal component analysis have been a...

THE APPLICATION OF EXPLORATORY DATA ANALYSIS (EDA) AS A ROBUST METHOD IN ONE ELEMENT GEOCHEMICAL SURVEYING (CASE STUDY: SHIRINKAND 1:50000 SHEET)

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2007, M Ahadi, A. Hezarkhani)

An exploratory data analysis (EDA) technique is based on the box plot and robust-class selection. Calculation of the threshold of anomalous data is based on the determined classes. In contrast to classic statistical processing ( ), in these methods, normalization isn’t needed. This paper is devoted to presentation of EDA application on stream sediment survey data of 1:50000 Shirinkand sheet. 180 Samples were analyzed for 23 elements and because of high censored values of Cd and P, they are omitted from data proc...

THE NEUTRALIZATION OF SYNGENETIC COMPONENT EFFECT IN STREAM SEDIMENTS GEOCHEMICAL EXPLORATION USING ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS (CASE STUDY: SHIRINKAND 1:50000 SHEET)

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2007, M. Ahadi, A.HEZARKHANI)

Variability of stream sediment survey data have two principal component including syngenetic component relates to lithogenesis and lithogeochemical variation, and epigenetic component relates to mineralization which its determination is the target in geochemical exploration. In regional stream sediment surveys, effective lithologic units in syngenetic component are located in the upstream of related sample. Various methods are used for neutralization of syngenetic component in stream sediment geochemical surveys s...

THE OUTLIER SAMPLE EFFECTS ON MULTIVARIATE STATISTICAL DATA PROCESSING IN GEOCHEMICAL STREAM SEDIMENT SURVEY (MOGHANGEGH REGION, NW OF IRAN)

(SGEM Scientific GeoConference, 2007, A. Habibnia, A. Hezarkhani, M. Ahadi)

In geochemical stream sediment surveys in Moghangegh Region in NW of Iran, sheet 1:50,000, 152 samples were collected and after analyze and processing of data, it is revealed that Yb, Sc, Ni, Li, Eu, Cd, Co, As contents in one sample is far higher than other samples. After detecting this sample as the outlier sample, affect of this sample was investigated in multivariate statistical data processing to investigate destructive effects of outlier sample existence in geochemical exploration. Pearson and spearman corre...
